Xmas Decorations

We spend Xmas eve and Xmas day at Waterlemon Cay on St John Island USVI.  YES - I packed our Santa hats.  Yes, we wore them.  I also brought my Xmas fleece scarf and wore it....until the rum kicked in and I got hot wearing fleece in the islands!

I even decorated the boat.  Simple, nothing fancy or big.

We have seen some decorations around but nothing over the top like the lights on every inch of the house and blow up Xmas decorations back in the USA.  We did see some very kewl boat lights.  Specifically s/v Molto Bene (fellow Salty Dawgs) has the BEST Xmas light ever!!!  They use their mast to make a huge Xmas tree.  Here is how they did it.  They won this years St Thomas light parade of boats and were written up in Boat US magazine.  To our surprise, they pulled into the Maho Bay anchorage adjacent to us a few days before Xmas.  We could hardly wait for the sun to set so they could throw the switch.  Their xmas lights are SO kewl.  No matter how many pics I took, they came out blurry.  Let's just pretend it an artsy interpretation of their Xmas lights and I meant for them to be blurry.
Oh Xmas tree, oh Xmas tree

Ever wonder what Santa does on Xmas day after all his rounds are done?
He puts on his most casual chill outfit and goes fishing.  FYI - Santa's 2013 diet worked.  He is looking very buff.

  1. Love the Xmas lights on s/v Molto Bene, and your decorations are cute too...but I gotta say, that purple just doesn't go! LOL. I know you love your KSU Wildcats, tho! You both look great -- cruising life definitely agrees with you. Happy New Year!
