s/v Riot

Home with new purchase
A 1968 McVay Minuet.
Wayno enjoying a solo sail
Tom found her on EBay.  She was located around the Sandusky Ohio area.  The previous owner painstakingly restored her and as often is the case, was sick of the whole project by the time he completed it and put her on Ebay.  Tom quickly sucked in our dock neighbor (Lake Perry KS B-Dock) Wayne and they conspired to make her theirs.  Soon the guys were headed east to get her.  It was fall 2006.
Launching her for the season
At 19ft with a fixed keel, she is great fun to sail.  And quick too.
Waiting to go
Naming boats is always a bit tough.  Wayne was actually the one who came up with s/v Riot.  He thought back to what was happening in 1968...the USA was in turmoil with various riots happening all across the country.  Seemed like a fitting name for causing a little "turmoil" of our own out on the water.
