Boat full of tourist |
For years we would go on holiday and somehow always end up on or near the water, even if we didn't plan on being on or near water. We would walk the docks at whatever marina, or go on a harbor cruise with tons of other people, or take a ferry out to an island with all the other tourist, and we would always spy at least one cruising sailboat with a cruising couple onboard. They were cruising in style and taking their time, just the two of them. None of this two hour tourist cruise with a hundred of your closes friends. Even when we chartered in the Caribbean, we would take longing looks at the full time cruisers on their
own cruising boats. We would say to each other "One day, that will be us."

Today it is!
Every year we would stand on the dock at the Annapolis boat show and say the same thing about the cruisers anchored there. This year it will be us as well.

Awe....thanks. We will miss BWick but we will see you out there soon!
DeleteA giant "thumbs up" for this post! An evil admission: we love to anchor near bridges at rush hour. There we sit in our comfy home, watching all the people stuck in traffic...
ReplyDeleteWe had this on our wall for years:
