Rain Shield

It's been raining here some each day for a couple of days. That is ok because it has really cool things down for the most part.  In fact a couple of nights it's been boarder line chilly (upper 60's) - however  I refuse to break out any of our mid-weight clothing as it's buried deep, deep, deep below our berth - NO WAY, NO HOW....we must be freezing before I drag all the stuff out to get to the clothing!!  Yes, I said chilly and upper 60's - are we acclimating or what!

The rain doesn't always cool things down as it can get rather stuffy because we have to close up the boat when it rains.  We have a rain shield for our forward overhead hatch but none for the main salon hatch.  Until last week.  I had just enough Sunbrella to make one.
Waterproofing with 303
It has worked really well with the rain showers.  We are able to keep the main salon hatch open, breezes flowing and rain out.  It also acts as a mini sunshade for that open hatch as well.
