Sailors slowly started to arrive mid to late morning. Their walk down the dock didn't have the normal spring in the step...."I'm going sailing today" quickness to it. Even though it was a beautiful fall Saturday, melancholy was in the air. Talk was quite and reserve. We were all there to do a few last minute projects, winterize and/or pull boats in preparation for the long winter and NO lake sailing. Ugh!
