The Sailin Sisters New Boat

Her debut
Meet s/v She Worthy.
Sailin Sisters show their appreciation

Perry Yacht Club Sailin Sisters acquired this little diamond in the rough this spring and have been working like crazy to get her ready for the 2012 sailing season on Lake Perry.   She's a Santana 22
Color was custom.  VC17 bottom paint goes with everything.

Yes, that is HOT PINK and it's spectacular!
Special "She Worthy" bubbly to christen her

Well done Sailin Sisters, cheers to you!

*Thanks to PYC member Kevin Mitts for letting me use his pics for this posting.

  2. Minor detail but she is actually a Santana 20. She is however, gloriously PINK! And, FINALLY, we have remounted all the hardware we can until the last 2 blocks come in from Kansas City Sailing. The tips of my fingers are so sore from trying to pull 4200 off and taking a layer of skin with it each time.

Next step... SAILING HER! We wanted to slpash at PYC first but we feel really honored to have been invited to Weatherby Lake's Invitational Regatta and want to get her in the moment she is ready to sail - and that will be this weekend.

Since we haven't even had her off the trailer yet - much less sailed her - we are warning the racers to stay well clear of us unless they want a little pink blush on their hulls. I wish I were kidding!

The Santana 20 Fleets from Weatherby and Oklahoma City are great though and have done everything they can to welcome and encourage us. Hope they still feel that way after this coming weekend!
