Anyone who has ever been too tired to cook knows a fast, easy, hot meal is just the ticket. In our past life that probably meant take away something....Chinese, Mexican or fast food. Now that is not an option.

Pressure cookers are the topic lately. I posted on FB about how it's taking six days to cook my six bean soup, and people commented on how much they love their pressure cookers. OK, it took six hours to cook the beans to a point where they are edible, and yes the beans were a year old, but a pressure cooker will speed that process up I hear. It will also save us some gas as well, which we seem to have in abundance lately.

Dude, go out and get one today!!! They take a little practice to get used to but so worth it. I soak beans overnight & then pressure cook anywhere from 10 to 15 mins. 20 mins if I want mushy. Black beams & pork roast are awesome in pressure cooker 25 mins under pressure for a small roast. Go, run....get your cooker now!
